A deadly weekend on the Nortehrn California coast resulted in abalone divers being killed in separate incidents. The Press Democrat reported on April 29, 2013, that divers died in both Sonoma County and Fort Bragg, California. The first to be found dead was a 66-year-old retiree from Pacifica on Saturday. The other two were fund separately on Sunday morning. A 36-year-old from San Francisco was pulled to the shore in Sonoma County but did not survive. The third diver was found dead in the water off of Fort Bragg in pounding surf.
